IP Map
IP MAP Methodology
Turning Complex Challenges into Concrete Action Strategies:
As intellectual property, counterfeiting and illicit trade challenges become increasingly complex, IP MAP provides a collaborative, immersive and operational methodology enabling public and private stakeholders to work together around a shared challenge.
Built on decades of field experience in investigations, disputes and institutional cooperation, the methodology relies on an experiential and participatory approach: participants collectively analyse a concrete issue in order to rapidly build a global understanding of risks, vulnerabilities and priority actions.
Through a structured protocol, workshops help participants to:
- Quickly identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies;
- Detect priority gaps and overlaps in responsibilities between institutions, partners and departments;
- Encourage direct dialogue between public and private stakeholders;
- Develop practical recommendations and immediately actionable strategic priorities.
IP MAP can be deployed through national or regional programmes, multi-stakeholder workshops, professional training, technical seminars, institutional sessions and educational initiatives. It is designed for authorities, rights holders, companies, logistics actors, platforms, universities and institutional partners.

“The best solutions emerge when different perspectives work toward a shared objective.”
IP MAP Methodology
Building a Shared Vision for Better Action:
IP MAP helps build a shared understanding between stakeholders who often pursue the same objectives, yet operate with different priorities, timelines and constraints.
Workshops help reveal blind spots, coordination gaps and opportunities for stronger alignment, encouraging more direct exchanges, better visibility of challenges and more structured decision-making.
Beyond the collaborative exercise itself, IP MAP contributes to building long-term dynamics between institutions, partners and rights holders, strengthening consistency of action and accelerating the implementation of practical solutions.
